The Purple Pleasure Palace

Here's what to look for
And here's what to do with them

This picture shows the "front doors".  I have reinforced the lintel above the door with a bit of steel bar, another bit supports the "chaise lounge" at the back, where the Fuzzwah likes to laze about on.

View from the front showing the Lounge area.
Oblique view, and side view, showing the "Emergency Fire Exit".  The condo sits directly behind my computer so I can kiss her nose on command (I have a mirror on the monitor).
I found them at Hardwarehouse, the price is about $2 per panel.  I recommend buying the Add-a-Cube pack rather than the Start-a-Cube pack, as it works out cheaper per panel.  And throw out the connectors !  Or use them as toys.  They are useless for construction.

You will also need a lot of cable ties.  It may seem like overkill, but the more you use, the more stable the cage will be.  It's worth searching out coloured ties for a coordinated look, or clear ones for a neater finish.  And you don't need big ones - the smaller ones do a good job, and look a lot neater.

To make the whole job easier, start with an idea of the dimensions of the cage.  Fuzzies condo is two panels wide, three deep, and two high, with a sleeping shelf at one end, and "French" doors at the other.  Lay out the panels for each side (remember that the panels have a "right" and "wrong" side, so keep this consistent), and loosely fasten into a wall.  Straighten out any wonky bits, and then pull the cable ties tight with pliers, and clip off the excess.

I'll be putting up pictures here of the Purple Pleasure Palace as soon as I get a day that is sunny enough to get an exposure on my digital camera.
